Tail O' the Whale dining room

The center support column is a steel tube, that was deeply embedded into the hillside in a concrete and steel footing. This allowed for sufficient support (now time tested, earthquake tested, and mud-slide tested), but also kept the room open for the diners to enjoy the view.

Below notice the close up of the column and the support structure. Oh, and don't forget the ship-like decorations!
