We have just added a new webpage of the missing information in the David and Ida Erhardt family! This means, that people who do a search on themselves may find us, and so know we are looking for information on them! In the process, they will be able to see what we have and so help us in other areas as well.

We also have finished the 2011 edition of the David & Ida Erhardt family binder, and hope to have it up for sale soon.

In 2012, the 1940 census will be released,  and we hope to do another update to the binder at the end of 2012, or 2013, depending on how the indexing goes. There are also updates that regularly work their way to us, so we hope they will continue and we can have a significant update in a year of two!

At any rate, check out the missing data page! We hope to begin adding this capability to other families in the days ahead!

We decided that the shotgun approach to the Erhardt family was just too wide and needed to be narrowed to make real progress. Linda Sebastian is hoping to be able to find time to help with this family, but needs to know what is missing. We also would like to be able to go to one place and have a running list. To accomplish this end, we narrowed our treatment to just this family for now.

In setting up the new data evaluator software we found that David and Ida Erhardtâ??s family now has 102 people in it that we know about. There is no doubt many more, but this at least gives us a launching pad from which to work and is a more manageable number of people.

This more manageable list brought up 222 items needing attention. We had reviewed 106 of these, but decided to go over the reviewed areas to compile the new list of Missing items.

Howdy all! There was a fatality in the process of moving to a new website. Something went wrong and we had to remove all the images and their links from the new setup, since they were duplicated! So now we have to go through each of the over 1700 files and tell them what category they belong to, what album they go to, and where their thumbnails are, and whether or not they are the default image for each person.

In short, this is going to take many hours of work to restore, so they will be appearing as we have time to sift through the huge pile. I do hope for this reason alone that we will not have to move again very soon. This job is huge and follows many hours of trying to move things. So in the meanwhile, please be patient! You can certainly point things out and those items will be handled with a priority over the general list.

So what does this mean? It means work on other aspects of the family tree has to take a back seat till this project is restored. I will be so glad when I can sit back and know that there is a family line that is completely done and current and only needs to be looked at to add current events or recovered photos and information.
