    • James Isaacs wrote about his "Uncle Tom Green":

I remember that the older members of the family used to whisper about Uncle Tom being "spoiled." He was the baby of the large family, and did have some behavioural characteristics which were closely akin to those of a spoiled child. He was a soft spoken, friendly sort of man who I loved dearly and respected greatly. My grandfather, B. Isaacs, conducted his funeral at Reveille Church and I distinctly remember that he wept openly at the loss of this, his good friend and faithful brother. Recently, Elder Mark Green, who publishes a periodical called "The Primitive Baptist and The Christian Pathway," published an old article he had found somewhere in which Uncle Tom had written to a well known minister in Texas asking his views on a particular question in about 1936.
